History
Sangareddy (former: Sangareddy peta) is the district headquarters of Sangareddy district in the Indian state of Telangana. It was named after the ruler Sanga, who was the son of Rani Shankaramba, ruler of Medak during the period of Nizams.
Sangareddy District is bifurcated from Medak district according to G.O.M.S 239; Dt: 11-10-2016 by Government of Telangana.
