Kondapur Museum

The Archaeological Museum is a popular tourist destination. It is located at a distance of 18 km from Sangareddy. Most of the artifacts displayed within the Museum have been excavated from the nearby Fort Mound or Kotagadda that is located at a distance of 1 km from the museum. Initially identified by Archaeologist Mr. Henry Cousens in the early part of the 19^th century, it later passed on to the Archeological Department of the then Nizam of Hyderabad who carried on a series of excavations through 1940-41.
