Pollution Control Board

The Telangana pollution Control Board (TGPCB) is a statutory authority entrusted to implement Environmental Laws and Rules within the jurisdiction of the State of Telangana, India. The Board ensures proper implementation of the statutes, judicial and legislative pronouncements related to environmental protection within the State. As per A.P. Re-organization Act, 2014, APPCB was bifurcated and TGPCB was constituted under Sec. 4 of Water (Prevention & Control of pollution) Act, 1974 and Section 5 of air (Prevention & Control of pollution) Act, 1981, on 07.07.2014.”

The TGPCB has 10 Regional Offices including  Regional Office-I, Sangareddy

Jurisdiction:

The industries in Sangareddy District are monitored through two Regional Offices viz., Regional Office-I, Sangareddy located at Sangareddy and Regional Office-II, Sangareddy located at R.C.Puram. The RO-I covers entire Sangareddy district except 2 mandals i.e., Gummadidala and Jinnaram. These 2 mandals along with Siddipet and Medak district are covered by RO-II located at RC Puram.

Categorization of Industries:

The industries are  categorized under Red, Orange, Green, White and Blue Category based on their pollution potential as per the directions issues by the Central Pollution Control Board. Processing of applications:

1. The Regional Office processes the Consent for Establishment (CFE), Consent for Operation (CFO) and Authorization/Registration applications received in TGiPASS & OCMMS portals.
2. The Regional Office issues approvals to the industries as per delegation of powers and forwards the reports to the Zonal Office & Board Office for further processing for which the powers are not delegated to the Regional Office.
