The main functions of this office are Mineral investigative, Mineral Administrative, Mineral Advisory and Mineral Revenue Earning for state exchequer. This office receives and process the mineral concession applications, collects mineral revenue and controls unauthorized quarrying and transportation of minerals.

- Minor Minerals: The available minor minerals in Sangareddy district are Building Stone & Road Metal, Fullers Earth, Laterite and Gravel/ Morrum /Ordinary earth.
- Building Stone & Road Metal:The Building Stone & Road Metal is used in Road Works and other civil construction works and is available in Jhrasangham, Jinnaram, Patancheru, Raikode Mandals in Sangereddy District.
- Gravel/Morrum/Ordinary Earth:Gravel/ Morrum / Ordinary Earth available in the central and north part of the Sangareddy District, which is useful for manufacture of Earth Bricks in Zaheerabad Manadal in the Sangareddy District.
